"We want the charity sector to take the lead to root out racism."
Camille and Jon are members of volunteer group, CharitySoWhite. Established only last year, the campaign has gained increasing traction in its bid to raise the voices of BAME staff, volunteers and beneficiaries. Most notably, they are calling on leaders in the sector to acknowledge the problem and work closely with colleagues to develop better practices, culture and attitudes.
Jonathan Cornejo is an experienced campaign strategist with a passion for building people power through change and impact led campaigns. He is a part of the #CharitySoWhite organising committee where he works to build up the power of people of colour working in the sector and to root out institutional racism from our sector. He currently is a Campaign Manager at Save the Children UK.
